Christian Solider Responsibility
If you are a Christian, a time will come when you will need to help a brother or sister... will you be ready when someone is hurting?
When the call comes out for the troops to move, no one has time to get their gear ready, to practice their skills, or to remember their duty. Are you ready? No solider is tied down in the things of this world; no sojourner is entangled in the physical world. We are Christians, we are not of this world.
We are passing through, we are soldiers ready to be called at a moments notice.

A solider prepares for war.
Count the supplies in the stock rooms. Check his gun out daily - cleaning and lubricating it for the day of war. He can do the drills and work hard toward beating his best in physical exercise and engage in combat exercises in special training zones. But getting in the real fox hole is not fun. It is frightening and takes a lot out of the solider--even who is prepared.
In the same way, going to church and preparing can consume most of our time. Learning and doing things in the safety of others who are doing well is pleasant and can be a very positive influence. But when the hurting cry out, don't walk away... this is your foxhole; it is the battle you have been trained for by God. Believe it or not you are needed, and your assistance is valuable, and the most important ministry will not enter into the church doors but will be found in the neighborhoods, work places and streets.
Get equipped, prepare and then be ready--
for the call will not come on a clear day and it cannot be scheduled in to fit around your plans. You are "on call" when you are a child of God, not on a regular working schedule. Not every need is your call but when the call does come to you be prepared and purposefully use everything God has taught you and brought you through to be others-oriented, meeting needs of others -- not your own.

And remember, no one else but God needs to know what you are doing or have done. Telling others doesn't make it valuable or real. Rest and be satisfied by the truth that God knows and sees because He called you to minister. Do all you can and bring in others to help if the need is too large, but don't abandon the person, don't run from the battlefield deserting your brother or sister to be plundered by the enemy.
Never leave a child of God behind!
At the very least you, must carry them to safety and turn them over to someone who is better equipped to help them. It is your duty, it is your calling, it is your responsibility as a Christian solider.
