Anonymous Friend in Tanzania, East Africa Prays For Me
In Jesus' name, I pray a blessing of grace and peace be abundant toward this family. I pray, O Lord, that you will even use this situation to bring hope and healing in the places that have been hidden and well-guarded for decades. Father, during this fragile time of the father and mother's lives, would You speak to them and change their hearts. You know their hearts, and You know what needs to be addressed. So I pray that you send Your Holy Spirit to draw them to Yourself. Speak peace to their souls, and lead them into the decisions and heart changes that they need to face.
Then for the siblings, Father, I pray for your grace and strength. It is so difficult when an abuser now needs help. It is very tempting to allow the enemy to use us to curse and bring more pain. Please allow this to be a strange kind of healing experience for each of them. Give them eyes to see and ears to hear beyond the "normal" and apparent situation. I pray that You will give them "divine appointments" when they get to see You at work, and when they can learn something about their lives that actually brings them each to a new understanding and insight. God, please bless this difficult time in this family. Use this situation (as You promised) "for the good to those who love God and and called according to His promise." We commit this situation to You, and we ask for Your best.
We do not ask for denial, nor for the type of "forgiveness" that pretends it was all ok. Rather, we pray that you give grace, peace, and healing as each of them faces the truth of their lives...and looks for ways that You will redeem all. When (not if) You accomplish Your work, we will praise and glorify You, O God. In Jesus' name...Amen.
-Blessings to you, from your unknown friend in Tanzania, East Africa
I certainly feel blessed. God had someone who does not personally know me pray for me. I wish I could hug this person, look into their eyes and thank them, but hopefully one day in heaven this person will walk up to me, and we can rejoice then.
God’s Word and our prayers to Him are eternal. We don’t often see the outcome of the spiritual mark we have on other’s lives but regardless we still make impacts. I wish everyone could understand how serious our impression upon another’s life is. A look, eye contact, a smile, kind words, warm hugs, and all forms of caring can be the little thing a person needs to carry on.
A dear friend I made while teaching in public school this year said to me on a day that I felt crushed, “Pray, and trust God to work it out. That is what you taught me.” As she spoke, she showed me a colorful, weaved, thread bracelet with a cross hanging from it that she was wearing on her wrist. I had no idea that I made an impression on this person or that she knew I was a Christian or that she was a Christian. I was simply friendly to a co-worker, and tried to greet her everyday.
What she said not only aligned my thinking back to God but it also budded a beautiful friendship.
How many times do we let those moments pass away? If the spirit moves, act, speak and engage. We are God’s hands and mouth. We need to constantly allow Him to touch others through our own life.
